My name is Bob Armbrester and I Love Real Estate.

I was born in Lakeland, FL in 1947 but my family had the good sense to make sure I attended high school in Alabama. Much to the amazement of friends and family I graduated from Winterboro High School in Talledega County, Alabama in 1965.

After high school I attended Jacksonville State University where I earned a B. S. in Finance & Accounting in 1969. I had a sheepskin in my hand and I was ready to take on the world...

Uncle Sam had other ideas. After they called my number in 1970, I packed up for an all expenses paid tour of Vietnam.

After fulfilling my service obligation, I worked for six years for two of the Fortune 500 companies in the area of finance until I realized that I needed a career that"would let me be me".

I found Real Estate.

In 1977 I started working full-time with Jackson Realty in Birmingham, eventually as a Broker and Vice-President of the company.

The entrepreneurial bug bit me in 1983 and I started Ladd Real Estate Investment Company, serving as President until 1988.

In 1988 I answered the call of Johnson, Rast, & Hays (now RealtySouth) to take a Broker position and I haven't looked back.

Since I received my Real Estate License in 1976, I have never had a boring day in this business. Each day is filled with new challenges, solutions, and successes.  My passion is helping my agents and staff reach their goals and my only guidelines are"legal, ethical, and moral".

I believe in people and I believe that most of those people are good and that's the kind of people I look for.

Bob Armbrester has been with the company for almost 20 years and has been married to his lovely wife Kathy for 36 years. A father of three and a grandfather of four (including twins), Bob keeps busy outside of work with family life, his cat, his border collie, and growing"anything that's legal"in his garden. His daughters Jennifer and Andrea are both nurses in Birmingham and his son Michael is an agent with RealtySouth.
